Used above condition on text field and it works as expected only on "New Form" and not on "Display Form" or "Edit Form".
Business user has to set the focus on "Owner" column then it show text field on "Edit Form" and not on "Display Form".

I tried to use a similar formula using @me and it only works when you first put a person into the field.

=if([$Manager.email] == '@me', 'true', 'false')

I am using this to hide the Approval field unless the manager is the one viewing/editing the form. I am using a custom header to display this field value and change the color of the header. Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a person field called Manager and another field (choice, single line of text, it doesn't really matter)
2. Set the 2nd field to show only when the person in the person field is the logged in user. (formula provided)
3. On New form, this will work. The 2nd field is hidden until you add yourself, then the 2nd field shows.
4. On Edit form, even deleting the Manager and adding yourself back in doesn't show the second field.
5. On Edit All form, the 2nd field will only show if you delete the person in Manager and put yourself back in.
6. On Display form, the 2nd field does not show.

I created one scenario where the Title field (renamed to EmployeeEmail) has a calculated default value equal to the email address of the logged in user. Adding this to the formula makes the fields show/hide accordingly using this formula but only on Edit All:
=if([$Employee.email]==[$EmployeeEmail], 'true', 'false'))

To get both Add and Edit All to work I need to use this formula:

=if([$Employee.email]==[$EmployeeEmail], 'true' ,if([$Employee.email]=='@me', 'true', 'false'))

But this technique didn't work when the Person field you want to use is not the original logged in user because you can't default a single line of text to the email of a Person field on the form, only to the logged in user who is creating the new form. Person/Group fields are not supported for Calculated fields either. The user would need to manually enter both the Person field and the email field. Even then, it might not work because the ".email" part of the column reference doesn't seem to be accessed other than when the field is being populated.

Indexing the relevant columns (Person/Group and Title) did make some changes to behavior but did not fix the problem.

Thank you very much for your kind valuable response, to recapitulate currently its not possible to use Person/Group filed in "Edit conditional formula" as the ".email" part of the column reference is not accessible on Edit form, Edit All form and Display form.

Wish it was one of the option available and do we have anything upcoming for disabling and enabling filed based on conditions.
