Error loading slicer prostate ablation extension in 3D Slicer #2

Description

@skeeber111

Description

The prostate ablation extension module fails to load in Slicer due to what appears to be a Python import error.
It looks like the extension is using Python 2 instead of Python 3.

I have tried installing older versions of Slicer that use Python 2 (< Slicer 5.0) from here,
https://www.slicer.org/wiki/Documentation/Nightly/FAQ/General#Where_can_I_download_Slicer.3F, however the prostate ablation extension module does not appear in those earlier versions and I did not find it under the extensions listed here, https://slicer-packages.kitware.com/#collection/5f4474d0e1d8c75dfc70547e/folder/5f4474d0e1d8c75dfc705482.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Slicer 5.9.0 (2025-08-20 build).
  2. Install the SlicerProstateAblation extension.
  3. Launch Slicer and try to load the ProstateAblation module.

System Information

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Slicer version: 5.9.0 (2025-08-20 build)
  • Extension: SlicerProstateAblation (latest from Extensions Manager)
