[BUG]: Sovereign Cloud Standards YAML: Table for cert-level and cloud-layer.

I am looking at Sovereign Cloud Standards YAML

I see:

1. certification level, of which there are three:

• SCS-compatible
• SCS-open
• SCS-sovereign

2. cloud layer, of which there are two:

• infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
• Kubernetes as a service (KaaS)

I think people would understand that better, if you aditionally provide a table, and in each cell you link to the corresponding yaml file (or first a md file, which points to the yaml file).

For the cell SCS-compatible / Kaas this would be: scs-compatible-kaas.yaml

BTW, I only found scs-compatible-kaas.yaml. Where is scs-(open|sovereign)-kaas.yaml?

@guettli I'm puzzled as to how you arrived at that file. We have documentation for interested parties:

And I agree, it should probably link the files (they are linked in the sidebar though).

The file you referred to is for people who design and write those yaml files. It expressly states (bold added by me)

SCS plans to offer six kinds of certificates with varying scope

So far, we only have the first level, and therefore, you won't find the other two.

I agree that this is not optimal.

I would like to add that I can't find any definition or explanation what these certification levels are supposed to mean. I found some language on https://sovereigncloudstack.org/en/scs-standards/certified-scs-compatible-iaas/ that implies that "SCS-compatible" is equivalent to the "freedom of choice" dimension of the SCS definition of digital sovereignty, but that was quite a scavenger hunt.

That is actually a good find @toothstone! With the effort from @garloff and @depressiveRobot in SovereignCloudStack/docs#381 and some proper linking this could be addressed.

The document in question was indeed confusing, but it's no longer part of the docs.

edit I have to elaborate.

1. scs-0003-v1 contained these confusing statements, but has been superseded by scs-0003-v2 and the scopes track.
2. the confusing docs page Scopes and versions is no longer referenced to (should actually be deleted)
