The module documentation shows to use it that way.
This check is repeated several times over so it simplifies the code as well as the De Morgan Law's check happy.
The operator-sdk version gives the basic version of their dependencies. Only allow patch releases to avoid breaking changes.

This PR updates the content of the repository to version 1.42.3 of operator SDK.
There were inconsistencies between different version of tools and dependencies and they are now fixed.
