Pressing F1 Will Freeze Bounce (Libretro)

Pressing the default F1 hotkey that opens the RetroArch menu will freeze the game "Bounce":

Also, pressing start/enter once will pause the game normally, but if you press it again you'll get stuck on a black screen.

AWT has the same issue.
If you do not mind, a simple small setting can temporarily address this problem.

P.S. This does not fix the bug; it only prevents RetroArch from automatically pausing the core : )

@Magstic I checked this version, it's one of the 2 versions that used to be downloadable from Nokia's official site: https://web.archive.org/web/*/softwaremarket.nokia.com/free* However on AWT neither versions freeze for me. I don't have retroarch set up right now though so i can't tell about that.

@Starman99x I looked into this one and it looks like some edited jar file. I highly recommend you and anyone to avoid using Phoneky (or the Kahvibreak archive) because these two are the worst places to get J2ME games, unless you're specifically looking for the worst edited jar files imaginable in terms of j2me jar file integrity.
Can you take a look at these two versions and tell me if these two freeze for you? I don't even have any reaction in the game to pressing the center key, only the softkeys.

Thanks for the detailed info.

There’s no difference between the pause functions in RA and AWT, as they both directly call the in-game pause feature.
If an issue exists in one, it will likely be present in the other as well.

Oh, only when i read your message i realized what the issue is. Yes, the game does indeed freeze when you pause the game using the "Pause/Resume" emulator feature, which is probably an emulation (implementation) bug.

There is also a related bug in the game Dragon Crystal (Dragon Crystal 2) in which pausing the game using this feature restarts it, but it doesn't do that on my K800i, on which it correctly brings up an in-game dialog saying "-PAUSE- RESUME"
