Records the team decision of 2026-07-09..14: enable a merge queue on render-guides main as a trial, scoped to that repository only. Documents the stale-checks incident that motivated it, the rejected alternatives (require-up-to-date, org-wide rollout, status quo), the queue configuration, and the trial review criteria. Records the outcome of the team discussion of 2026-07-09 – 2026-07-14 as a decision record, following the format of #6 (ADR-003):
render-guidesmainas a trial — squash, all queue entries green, the seven Main-workflow checks as required status checks.Numbered ADR-004 because #6 already claims ADR-003 (ADR-001/002 are not in use anywhere — happy to renumber if preferred).
Companion changes: TYPO3-Documentation/render-guides#1326 adds the
merge_grouptrigger; the ruleset flip on render-guides follows once that PR is merged.
