Currently, thumbnails are generated even for remote files, without file size limit; that would be consuming bandwidth and in fact causing unwanted exceptions from glide.
Gnome Nautilus and Cinnamon Nemo both has option to specify remote file size that is good to generate thumbnails. Amaze should have this too - above the file size limit, only returns the default icon of file type instead of generating its thumbnail.
