I don' want to create another user just to play Isaac. Please.

Hi there, can you test something for me?

In the same folder as your REPENTOGONLauncher.exe, can you create a .bat file with the following contents, and run that bat file:

REPENTOGONLauncher.exe --force

This skips the locking requirement, but note that it may likely error at another point. It'll be useful to see if/where it fails again after the locking stuff, so please share any error you get as well as your new updater.log (or launcher.log if you get to that point)

after running the .bat file the launcher opened, but immediately prompted:

after the completion of REPENTOGON launcher setup, I launched the game with the following settings:

and this happened:

and after that, when i open REPENTOGON launcher again, it repeats the text from first screenshot, and the process goes again and again

Thank you for the extra tests! A couple more questions:

1. Are you able to run Repentance+ vanilla with no issues?
2. Can you see if you can locate a repentogon.log (see the "Check Game Logs" menu), and if so, please post the file here instead of copy-and-pasting snippets. If the file doesn't exist that is fine

Hi again - there are some changes available that may have fixed these issues, if you would like to give them a test ride for us.

Just do the following:

1. Delete whatever launcher files you have now
2. Download the new latest launcher version (v0.4.6-beta): https://github.com/TeamREPENTOGON/Launcher/releases/tag/v0.4.6-beta
3. As of this version, the launcher should be able to start up just fine (no need for any .bat files)
4. Once the launcher has started, enable Upgrade to unstable versions in the REPENTOGON Options box
   • Allow it to download and install the latest unstable build when prompted
   • The fixes related to user profile names is only available on the unstable (pre-release) REPENTOGON build at the moment
