Summary

The cloudpirates redis helm chart has a massive version gap from 0.2.0 to 0.26.6. This needs investigation before upgrading — the changelog may contain significant breaking changes.

Current state

• Chart version: 0.2.0
• Source: oci://ghcr.io/cloudpirates/helm-charts/redis
• Deployed in: 1276-dev, 1276-prod (techgarden namespace)
• Renovate is configured to pin redis below 1.0 until investigated

Tasks

• Review cloudpirates redis chart changelog (0.2.0 → 0.26.6)
• Identify breaking changes in values schema
• Consider if a different redis chart would be more appropriate
• Test upgrade in 1276-dev first
• Update Renovate constraint after successful migration

Reconciled 2026-07-07 (live cluster + git tree).

The original 0.2→0.26 breaking-change concern is effectively resolved:

• The cloudpirates redis chart is live only on 1276-prod.pelican, now on 0.30.7 (Synced+Healthy) — it climbed past 0.26 under the <1.0 Renovate pin with no breakage.
• The techgarden redis instance was retired (appset-excluded, 9a96ede); hausparty uses Dragonfly, not this chart.

Keeping open as a low-priority item: review whether/when to allow ≥1.0 (the pin stays until then).
