[Feature Request] Allow defining hostnames only in DHCP Reservations

Currently DHCP Reservations require an IP address. Would it be possible to allow reservations that are hostname/DNS only?

I have a number of devices that I don't care what their IP is as long as I can assign a hostname since the device doesn't report it's own name. Having the option to create hostname only reservations would allow me to set these up and no matter what network they connect to the hostname would follow.

This would be great, I also have devices that don't register a hostname in DHCP and this would resolve that.
I am currently trying to build a plugin that registers the MAC in a special zone and then I would be able to link a CNAME to that MAC record.
ie, XX-XX-XX.XX-XX-XX.mac.lan

Note that AFAIK there is no DHCP plugin API or DNS plugin API for the Zone Records creation, so you will need to generate an API key as detailed in the README.

Thanks for the suggestion. That would be a nice option to have. Will plan it along with the planned DHCP update.
