When using a system wide VPN on host, does Windows connect through the VPN, bypass it and use clear connection or no connection is established at all? #733

Windows Sandbox on Windows itself functions like this: if VPN allows local connections then the VM uses a clear connection to the internet, bypassing the VPN entirely, however if no local connections are allowed then the VM is fully offline. I'm wondering how does it work with Winboat? This issue implies that it would be the same, but if anyone knows for sure please let me know. |

I've now tried it myself, at least with Docker the VPN connection covers the VM, meaning everything inside a container connects via your VPN. |

Note: you must allow local traffic in your VPN client/config for WinBoat to install and run.
