Camera preview not working on Kali linux 2026.1

I installed biopass with dpkg -i biopass_1.2.0_amd64.deb after I did an apt-get install -f and when I launch biopass the the camera preview doesn't work (it's black), for other apps the camera works fine. When I press on capture I get: Failed to save face image: Cropper failed with exit status: exit status: 1.

I do not have enough information to help you. Please give me debug log and your configuration file. By the way, do you follow the guide of setting up IR camera?

I had the same issue, I created a pull request for this issue, camera and camera select: #90

I have the same issue with Failed to save face image: Cropper failed with exit status: exit status: 1. on Manjaro. I guess I have to wait for the PR to be merged.
