fix(manifest): plugin.json + marketplace.json descriptions in Korean — violates English-only policy (#102) + stale counts #112

Description

@ComBba

Summary

The plugin description rendered to every Claude Code user via /plugins and the marketplace browse UI is in Korean. This contradicts the English-only language policy ratified in #102 and merged into CONTRIBUTING.md via PR #106. Two manifest files are affected.

User-reported via screenshot of /plugins → Installed → pf @ two-weeks-team (Version: 1.14.1) on 2026-04-26.

Affected files (target)

1. plugins/preview-forge/.claude-plugin/plugin.json:3

"description": "한 줄 아이디어 → 143명 Opus 4.7 가상 엔지니어링 조직이 PreviewDD → SpecDD → TestDD 3-DD 사이클로 풀스택 앱을 freeze까지. 내장 Design Studio(Claude Design fallback) + Memory Tool + Reflexion 자가학습. Built with Opus 4.7 hackathon."

This string is what /plugins → Installed → pf displays beneath the Version: line (per attached screenshot). It is the most user-visible Korean text shipped by the plugin.

2. .claude-plugin/marketplace.json:16

"description": "Preview Forge — 한 줄 아이디어 → 143명의 Opus 4.7 가상 엔지니어링 조직이 PreviewDD · SpecDD · TestDD 3 사이클로 풀스택 앱을 freeze까지. /pf:* 14 slash commands. 인간은 디자인·배포 2 클릭만."

This string is what /plugin marketplace browse UI shows when a user runs /plugin marketplace add Two-Weeks-Team/PreviewForgeForClaudeCode and inspects the listing. First-impression surface for every prospective installer.

3. Already English (no change needed)

.claude-plugin/marketplace.json:9 — marketplace-level metadata.description:

"Two-Weeks-Team marketplace hosting the Preview Forge plugin — a 143-agent engineering swarm implementing the 3-DD Methodology (PreviewDD → SpecDD → TestDD) for Claude Code."

Only a count drift (143 → 144) needs to be addressed here, identical to the badge/README drift already tracked in #109.

Root cause

Same root as #102: a stale agent-memory rule defaulted all natural-prose output to Korean. The rule was hard-locked to English-only on 2026-04-25 (memory file + index updated, with a why-trail to prevent regression). The CONTRIBUTING.md "Language" section was added in PR #106. The two manifest files were authored before the policy and not retroactively updated.

The Korean strings are also factually stale on two counts that #109 tracks separately:

This issue does not duplicate #109#109 covers README/About/badge drift; this issue covers the runtime-rendered manifest strings, which are a different surface.

Why this is high priority

  • Every prospective installer sees the marketplace string before deciding whether to install. A Korean description on an Apache-2.0 multi-agent harness positioned for an international hackathon audience is a credibility leak.
  • Every existing user sees the plugin.json string every time they open /plugins. The Korean text is also factually stale (143 / 14).
  • Hackathon judges browsing the submission will hit one of these two strings whether they install (/plugins) or merely browse (/plugin marketplace).
  • Submission deadline: 2026-04-26 20:00 EST.

Proposed English replacements (suggestions, non-binding)

Implementer is free to refine wording. These are length-conservative suggestions to drop in directly with corrected counts.

For plugin.json:3 (currently ~280 chars; new ~250 chars):

"description": "One-line idea → 144-agent Opus 4.7 virtual engineering org runs PreviewDD → SpecDD → TestDD until freeze. Bundled Design Studio (Claude Design fallback) + Memory Tool + Reflexion self-learning. Built with Opus 4.7 hackathon."

For marketplace.json:16 (currently ~210 chars; new ~210 chars):

"description": "Preview Forge — One-line idea → 144-agent Opus 4.7 virtual engineering org runs PreviewDD · SpecDD · TestDD until freeze. /pf:* 15 slash commands. Two human clicks: design + deploy."

For marketplace.json:9 (already English; only a number-drift fix):

"description": "Two-Weeks-Team marketplace hosting the Preview Forge plugin — a 144-agent engineering swarm implementing the 3-DD Methodology (PreviewDD → SpecDD → TestDD) for Claude Code."

Side-effect / breaking-change assessment

Concern Status
plugin.json schema validity No structural change; only the value of one description field. JSON parser unaffected.
marketplace.json schema validity Same — value-only edits in two description fields.
scripts/verify-plugin.sh Already passes today with Korean strings (it does not lint description language). Will remain green after edit.
Existing installs Description is pulled fresh on /plugin marketplace update + /plugin update. No client-side cache invalidation needed by users.
Translation memory loss None — the Korean strings remain in git history (commit blame) and can be retrieved if archive value is later wanted.
Version bump Edit qualifies as docs: per CONTRIBUTING.md commit-prefix convention (#71). Will not trigger release-please semver bump under default rules. If implementer wants a release, use chore: or bundle with another change.

Acceptance criteria

  • plugins/preview-forge/.claude-plugin/plugin.json:3 description is in English
  • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json:16 plugin-level description is in English
  • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json:9 marketplace-level description count corrected (143 → 144) — language already English
  • All three strings reflect current counts (144 agents, 15 slash commands)
  • bash scripts/verify-plugin.sh returns 0 / no regressions
  • Manual eyeball check: /plugins → Installed → pf and /plugin marketplace browse listing both display the new English text after /plugin marketplace update
