Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Positive Environment

We will create a positive and inclusive environment by:

  • Being welcoming and friendly to newcomers
  • Being patient and understanding with newcomers
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy towards other community members

Respectful Communication

We will communicate respectfully:

  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences

  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy towards other community members

Collaboration

We will collaborate openly:

  • Welcoming constructive criticism
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Working together to resolve conflicts

Behavior to Avoid

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments
  • Personal or political attacks
  • Harassment, public or private
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If you witness or experience unacceptable behavior, please:

  1. Contact Maintainers:

  2. What to Include:

    • Your contact information
    • Names (real, nicknames, or pseudonyms) of the individuals involved
    • The behavior that was in violation
    • The approximate time of the behavior (if possible)
    • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, etc.)
    • Any additional context that might be helpful

  3. Confidentiality:

    • Reports will be kept confidential
    • We will investigate the report
    • We will take appropriate action

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior from any community member will not be tolerated. Community leaders may take action they deem appropriate, including:

  • Warning the individual
  • Requesting a public or private apology
  • Temporary or permanent suspension from the community
  • Banning from the community

Addressing Grievances

If you feel you have been unfairly or mistreated, please:

  1. Contact maintainers privately (see contact information above)
  2. Provide details of the situation
  3. We will review and respond in a timely manner

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all community spaces, including:

  • GitHub issues and pull requests
  • GitHub discussions
  • Any official communication channels (Discord, Slack, etc.)
  • In-person community events
