Actual calls not shown for all verificator functions

The unreleased upstream PR (which this fork inherited) that attempted to copy johanblumenberg#4 was unfortunately not complete.

The actual calls are logged from:

called is what we use the most, so it is unfortunate to have been missed.

Edit: Sorry, I'd wrongly assumed we use called more than once; but it is actually by far the other way around
