When using the ColorPalettePopover, having the possibility to set a custom tooltip text on the ColorPaletteItem would be usefull.

This feature request is about adding tooltips to elements marked as @abstract.
And see the new selected requirement.
It's also worth going through all the @abstract elements you own and enabling those too.

Can you provide more information on your use case for the selected state and which organization comes the request from?

Also would be great if you separate the two different requirements in two different issues.

Is this request still valid?
If yes, could you please specify your use case in particular?

Currently we're researching whether we could provide a tooltip where the given string to be shown after "Color X: ".
Example with tooltip "Magenta" -> "Color 10: Magenta".
The numbers are needed for accessibility reasons.

Hello,

Yes there is still no tooltip property on the colorPaletteItem webcomponent, currently I see a tooltip "Color X - ".
UX would like to have the possibility to replace the hexa value by a the name of the color.

I don't remember if at the point of the opening of the ticket there were tooltip at all, this ticket was raised also in the accessibility context
