This document provides official information regarding trademarks, service marks, and registered marks associated with Microsoft® Windows® XP.
The purpose of this document is to clarify proper usage of Windows XP trademarks in documentation, publications, and software projects.
The following names and logos are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation:

- Microsoft®
These marks are legally protected and may not be used without authorization from Microsoft Corporation.
When referencing Microsoft Windows XP products:
- Use the full product name with the ® symbol on first reference.
- Example: Microsoft® Windows® XP
- Subsequent references may omit the ® symbol if clarity is maintained.
- Do not use Windows XP in product names, domain names, or company names without written permission.
- Avoid using logos or images representing Windows XP without authorization.
- Microsoft does not grant ownership or rights to trademarks by referencing them.
- Improper usage may be considered a violation of trademark law.
- Trademarks must not be altered, combined with other marks, or used in a misleading context.
