TypeScript 7.0.2 is the native Go-based rewrite and no longer ships lib/typescript.js (the classic JS API). Next.js 16.2.10 looks for this file to detect TypeScript, causing the build to fail. Installing @typescript/native-preview signals to Next.js that the project is using the Go-based TypeScript compiler, allowing the build to proceed correctly.
