Overview

Define and document the package update policy for Mason templates maintained in this repository.

Scope

This policy should cover:

• How often dependencies inside Mason templates are updated
• Who is responsible for initiating and reviewing updates
• How breaking changes in dependencies are handled
• Whether updates are automated (e.g., Dependabot) or manual
• How updates are validated before a new template version is released

Tasks

• Document the update policy for Mason template dependencies
• Determine if Dependabot or similar tooling should be used
• Define the review and merge process for dependency PRs
• Add policy to CONTRIBUTING.md or a dedicated POLICY.md
