Glad you got to this before I did. I have been working on merging winloop to uvloop recently so that maintenance would be less burdensome for me but also so that more bugs could be patched along with better attention to typos. Thank you for reaching this before I got to it. It saves me time & energy. Every contribution made to any of my projects along with others on other repos and packages goes a long way.

Are there changes in behavior for the user?
None. All are docs, comments, or pytest skip reason string.
Is it a substantial burden for the maintainers to support this?
No. Just merge and when you do the precommit/CI thing you got less things to worry about.
