🌈 Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

🙌 Our Pledge

We, as members, contributors, and leaders, pledge to create and maintain a harassment-free, inclusive, and welcoming community for everyone—regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, experience level, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, sexual identity, or orientation.

We commit to acting and interacting in ways that foster an open, diverse, and healthy environment.

🌟 Our Standards

Positive behaviors include:

  • 🤝 Showing empathy and kindness to others
  • 🗣️ Respecting differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • 🛠️ Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • ✨ Owning mistakes, apologizing, and learning from them
  • 💡 Focusing on what’s best for the whole community, not just ourselves

Unacceptable behaviors include:

  • 🚫 Using sexualized language or imagery; sexual attention or advances
  • 🚫 Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments; personal or political attacks
  • 🚫 Public or private harassment
  • 🚫 Publishing others’ private information (e.g., physical/email address) without explicit permission
  • 🚫 Other conduct that could be deemed inappropriate in a professional setting

🛡️ Enforcement Responsibilities

Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards. They will take fair and appropriate action in response to behavior deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that violate this Code of Conduct, and will communicate moderation decisions when appropriate.

🌍 Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in all community spaces, and when individuals are officially representing the community in public (e.g., using an official email, posting via an official account, acting as a representative at events).

📢 Enforcement

If you experience or witness abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior, report it to the community leaders at info@webcodex.de.

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. Leaders will respect the privacy and security of the reporter.

📋 Enforcement Guidelines

Community leaders will follow these Community Impact Guidelines when determining consequences for violations:

1️⃣ Correction

  • Impact: Inappropriate language or behavior deemed unprofessional or unwelcome.
  • Consequence: Private, written warning; explanation of the violation; possible public apology.

2️⃣ Warning

  • Impact: Single incident or series of actions violating the Code.
  • Consequence: Official warning with consequences for continued behavior, and restricted interaction for a specified period.

3️⃣ Temporary Ban

  • Impact: Serious violation or sustained inappropriate behavior.
  • Consequence: Temporary ban from all interaction with the community; violation leads to permanent ban.

4️⃣ Permanent Ban

  • Impact: Pattern of violations, harassment, or aggression/disparagement.
  • Consequence: Permanent ban from all community interaction.
