I wasn't happy with the stability and responsiveness of the public walletconnect server, so I wrote my own Java implementation: https://github.com/aktionariat/walletconnect-bridge The readme describes the design considerations and differences to the reference implementation. Would be great to link to that somewhere here, maybe in the readme of this project? Note that the Java server has only been running for a few hours so far, so it should not been relied on yet.
