Looking at the track ticket https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/50120 it looks like they also added a "filter_by_date" label for post types. Would you be interested in adding a matching field for that as well for the PR?

Sure, at first I didn't find a use case but then I realized it's used for the screen reader labels.

Merged, but not closing the issue quite yet as I want to get proper credits in for the edits, via changelog, which I'm not handling quite yet.
