API for dynamically changing language

We've got a request on CKEditor 4 GitHub tracker for API allowing to dynamically change spell checking lang without opening a dialog - ckeditor/ckeditor4#4373 which seems like a valid feature request.

Is there currently any recommended API for that?

Such an API is not available for the SCAYT plugin. We will add this to the list of the enhancements.

Such APIs (e.g. setting language) and an extensive list of the options are available in the WProofreader add-on for rich text editors (including CKEditor 4).
