Changed internal markdown links to use .md extensions for consistency and compatibility. Updated mkdocs and mkdocs-material versions in requirements.txt and mkdocs.yml. Improved .gitignore to exclude Python venv files. Modified base.html for mkdocs-material 9.6.15 compatibility.
