How to change the favicon to a custom image

May I ask how to change the favicon to a custom image? Is there a standard practice to achieve this?

The favicons are stored under the images directory as favicon-192x192.png, favicon-32x32.png, favicon-512x512.png, apple-touch-icon-180x180.png , favicon.ico, and favicon.svg, where the first four have a specific size in pixels, favicon.ico follows the ICO file format, and favicon.svg is an SVG file. Replacing all of the ones with specific sizes along with favicon.ico should update the image to be custom on most web browsers.
