Synthetic Marine Grid Model

This directory contains the base synthetic marine microgrid model without any Marine Hydrokinetic (MHK) devices integrated. Use this as a starting point for your own integration studies.

Overview

The synthetic grid represents a typical marine microgrid environment suitable for testing and studying MHK device integration. The model is designed to be realistic while remaining manageable for research and educational purposes.

Grid Topology

[Add description of the grid topology, voltage levels, key buses, etc.]

Key features:

  • Voltage level: [Add details]
  • Number of buses: [Add details]
  • Load characteristics: [Add details]
  • Generation sources: [Add details]

Available Formats

PowerFactory

  • File: Marine Microgrids MHK integration.pfd
  • Version: [Add PowerFactory version]
  • This is the base model without FMUs integrated

PSSE

Using This Model

  1. Open the PowerFactory project file
  2. Review the grid topology and parameters
  3. Identify connection points for MHK devices
  4. Follow the FMU Method and Validation methodology to integrate device models
  5. See the Synthetic Grid Example directory for a complete integration demonstration

Model Parameters

Connection Points for MHK Integration

[Describe recommended buses or connection points for integrating WEC/CEC devices]

Notes

  • This is a "base" grid model - MHK devices must be added separately
  • For a ready-to-run example with MHK devices already integrated, see the Synthetic Grid Example directory
  • Grid parameters can be modified to suit your specific study needs
