Cobra overrides webman fan control.

Hey,
I’m having a weird issue with fan control on my PS3 Slim Cech 2004.
I was running yakuza 1(PS2) through webman ,it reached a temp of 80(!) and started stuttering a ton during cutscenes.

So the problem is that I'm using cobra fan control and webman fan control at the same time. I tried disabling cobra fan control but that didn't do anything, and I also tried setting Evilnat/cobra on SYSCON. I also tried unplugging the ps3. I would prefer to keep my webman fan control and get rid of the Cobra fan control.

It seems like every time i would like to use my webman fan, it keeps reverting back to cobra settings.

webMAN MOD does not run while you're playing PS2 games. To improve the temperature in PS2 emulation, it sets the fan to a fixed speed.

However, in the recent release of CFW Evilnat 4.93 the PS2 emulators include their own fan control system that overrides the fixed fan speed configured in webMAN MOD.

To solve this situation you have 2 options:

• Replace the PS2 emulators with the old ones that don't include the new features (fan control. fps, temperature monitor)
• Configure the PS2 emulator fan speed using the documentation found in the following link

How do I replace the ps2 emulator with the old one?

webMAN MOD has a sub-menu with several PS2 emulators in webMAN Setup > Update webMAN MOD > Custom Firmware MODs.
dev_blind must be enabled to allow the replacement of the emulator in dev_flash.

Evilnat's Custom Firmware Tools menu also has an option, but I'm not sure if it still works due his original repository was removed from Github and there is a new one.

Alternatively you can extract the ps2_netemu.self from an older firmware 4.90 or 4.91 and replace it manually in /dev_blind/ps2emu
