Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in this project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We are committed to fostering an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy environment for collaboration.


Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward others
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Taking responsibility for mistakes and learning from them
  • Prioritizing what is best for the project and community as a whole

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing someone else’s private information without explicit permission
  • Any conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional open-source setting

Enforcement Responsibilities

Project Maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards.

Maintainers may remove, edit, or reject issues, comments, commits, pull requests, or other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct. Reasons for moderation decisions will be communicated when appropriate.


Scope

This Code of Conduct applies only within GitHub spaces associated with this repository, including but not limited to:

  • Issues
  • Pull requests
  • Discussions
  • Code reviews
  • Commit messages

Interactions outside GitHub are out of scope unless they directly impact project participation.


Reporting Violations

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting:

Reports must include sufficient detail to allow investigation. Anonymous reporting is not supported.

All reports will be reviewed promptly and handled with discretion. The privacy and security of the reporter will be respected to the extent possible.


Enforcement Guidelines

Maintainers will use the following enforcement framework when responding to violations. They reserve the right to skip steps in severe cases.

1. Warning

Community Impact A single violation or pattern of behavior that is unprofessional, disruptive, or unwelcome.

Consequence A private warning explaining the violation and expectations for future behavior. Continued violations may result in stronger action.

2. Temporary Ban

Community Impact Serious or repeated violations after a warning.

Consequence Temporary removal from participation in the project for a defined period. This includes issues, pull requests, discussions, and reviews.

3. Permanent Ban

Community Impact Sustained violations, harassment of individuals, or aggressive/discriminatory behavior toward groups.

Consequence Permanent removal from all project participation.
