No matching distribution found for tinymp

Hey there,
I can't seem to actually get this installed? I ran python3 -m pip install tinymp but I get back the error of :

Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tinymp (from versions: 1.0.0b5b, 1.0.0-Beta5a) No matching distribution found for tinymp

I had installed the other things you had mentioned related to msgpack and umsgpack but can't get TinyMP itself.

Sorry, my bad. I am fairly new to python. I added tinymp==1.0.0b5b to my reqs file instead of just tinymp and all was well.

It threw me off because the site I was looking at when I searched it simply said to use pip install tinymp.

Well darn, looks like I spoke too soon. Now when I try to continue following the instructions you have listed, I get this.

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tinymp'

when I add

from tinymp import *

I tried:

from tinymp import *
import tinymp==1.0.0b5b
import tinymp1.0.0b5b

None of which worked. I also tried to search github for other people using tinymp to see if I was doing it wrong but this repo is all that came up and all I see in the tests and examples is the same, and that isn't working for me.

It looks like when I do python3 -m pip install tinymp-1.0.0b5 it only downloads the tinymp-1.0.0b5.dist-info and never actually installs the package.

@MostHated Python-3 isnt supported unfortunately - I failed to get it to work with Python 3 - Issue #2 is opened for this. if you want a crack at Python-3-ising this - feel free !!! It would be great to have it python-3 compliant....

Heya,
While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I have only been working with python for about a week or two. Just learning while making a Discord bot. I am fairly decent with C# as I am an amateur Unity developer, which is where I am familiar with msgpack. I have used 'messagepack-csharp' before along with the lz4 compression for serializing some network data but that is about where my skill with it comes to an end. I have really only implemented it in a fairly basic setup.

Perhaps down the road in my python adventures I might become well enough acquainted with it to be able to offer some notable contribution, as it stands now though, I would not even know where to begin, lol. I will be sure to keep it in mind though as I am learning stuff and try to pay attention to things a little more closely if they pertain to differences between 2.x. and 3.x. Until then, it is no worries, I was mostly wanting to fiddle with this just to familiarize myself with how to go about handling serialization in general in python but it isn't something exactly necessary for my current project.
