handle plists better

node-plist has some oddities in handling plists. It also doesn't write plists out correctly (currently using a patched version that doesn't work great either).

@alunny I have been working on improving plist support. @TooTallNate has given me commit permission on the node-plist repo. Would you please elaborate some of the oddities you've encountered? I'd love to get fixes rolled into the plist package and have some time to assist with this.
