@kevinjqliu I dont think so because Fokko made a good point that the implementation in that PR initially was a little hacky with a regex to support arbitrary optional params as kwargs

fair, I was thinking that it would probably be handled on a case-by-case basis within each endpoint so this issue doesnt really track anything if thats the case

thats fair, we can fix this by implementing all the parameters marked required: false in https://github.com/apache/iceberg/blob/main/open-api/rest-catalog-open-api.yaml

i see pagination is already in #2089
