Another thing I think is related is if prefix.cc would get a valid certificate again. Checking in with @cygri if the service is still maintained or not. That would also fix the errors which shows up in Jenas tests, that also uses prefix.cc. If not maintained anymore, maybe the json prefix resource could be packaged in Jena or Yasqe permissions permitting?

There are 3527 entries.

A local-only copy (smaller!) built-in would be reasonable. And IIRC you can local additions for use in the user domain.

Hi everyone, thanks for creating the issue in Yasgui

Directly pulling from prefix.cc is nice because it gives a "living" list of popular prefixes without having to update the package or else. But that also adds an extra HTTP call to initialize it, and add reliance on a 3rd party service that might go down any time (like now). So personally I don't like it much

The download uncompress full JSON file is ~180k

Imo, as mentioned above, the best solution would be to just add the prefixes file directly in the lib, and have a small script to update it from prefix.cc easily

We are checking what would be the best way to fix this and will try to have a fix release this week
