i just trying with your widget,
and always get the error

[WARN] couldn't load URL: app://com.appcelerator.crossplatform/html/com.appcelerator.charts/index.html

it seems that i cannot get the correct path

What can be?

Have you changed the app ID in tiapp.xml?

No I just dropped down the project from the git repo and Runned,

then maybe changing all I also changed the id, but I don't think the problem is that :(

if I copy the folder into project assets
and change the widget.js templateUrl from

templateURL=WPATH('/html/pie.html');
to
templateURL='html/pie.html';

it works..

any suggestion?

I just checkout the project from this repo untouched and tried it
(i had just to remove the apn module i don't have)

and i got this error
