- Workflow examples: 30 / 30 use the standard split workflow
- Use native Aspose.Words APIs directly.
- Create local sample source documents when a task refers to an existing file, folder, stream, or template.
- Do not assume external files or folders already exist.
- Prefer documented section, node, heading, bookmark, and page extraction workflows only when relevant to the task.
- Keep validation narrow and task-specific.

- Symptom: Build failures around
Document.Split(...),DocumentPageSplitter,HtmlFixedSaveOptions.DocumentSplitCriteria, or similar invented members. - Fix: Use only documented page extraction, node import, and section-based splitting workflows available in the current package version.
- Symptom: Runtime failures stating that the new child was created from a different document.
- Fix: Import, clone, or use
NodeImporterbefore appending content into a new split document.
- Symptom: Split outputs save successfully but header/footer validation fails because the extraction logic did not preserve the section-level content.
- Fix: Prefer section-preserving extraction for header/footer-sensitive tasks and validate reopened DOCX outputs rather than brittle HTML text checks.
- The selected file for each task is the verified winner recorded in the batch run.
- This category performed best with light primary rules plus a narrow hardening patch for page-range, cross-document import, and header/footer preservation cases.
- Preserve exact file-to-task traceability when updating the category.
- Bootstrap all sample input files locally inside the example when the task refers to an existing asset.
