of course, this will require numpy nightlies for cp315. Also, most packages have other dependencies that need to be waited on, but it would come much sooner if we also removed the |

This isn't so much moot than non-applicable any more. Though I can't keep anything from the original patch so next time I try this I'll start from scratch. |

Astropy itself has abi3 wheels now, which means we should be able to test downstream packages with future versions of CPython without rebuilding it. Let's give it a try.
