Usage of samples is unclear for Linux 2

It seems many of these samples and examples have not been updated to reflect changes for Linux 2 deployment. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/using-features.migration-al.html

In the previous AMI these samples and examples were invaluable to me. Without similar ones and instructions for Linux 2 AMI, I am lost.
