Problem Statement

Unable to select spoofed version of Kernelsu Next for GKI

Proposed Solution

Please add the option to install spoofed version of Kernelsu Next when patching the image.

This will not be implemented, mainly because even if it is installed, PixelFlasher has no way of knowing the package name, hence it won't be able to use it to create the patch.

What happens if you create the patch with non-spoofed version, flash the patch and then switch the app to the spoofed version?

I tried that already. The spoofed version doesn't recognise the root for some reason. I like the convenience that Pixel Flasher automatically roots the phone in GKI mode. I'm not able to use GKI with spoofed KSU Next.

Please double check you're doing everything correctly.
I just created a patch using the spoofed version and the regular version, and both generated patches are binary identical, which tells me if there is any issue, it's in the app and not what app you use to generate the patch.

Even though it shouldn't matter which app (spoofed or not) you create the patch with, PixelFlasher v8.12.0.0 now supports selecting a spoofed app or providing your own.
