Issue description
I'm running the batocera crt script on my 50hz pal tv. Anyway, picture is set up and all, tv is okayish, but I have constant cracking choppy sound. Oh, ive correctly set up and am using the pal settings & all. Maybe behavior connected to the 50 hz screen? its kinda not standard .. maybe emulators are struggling to output the audio at 50hz??
What I've tried:
- All audio output settings (no change)
- Using separate speakers instead of the tv speaker (no change)
- global.retroarch.audio_driver=sdl2 (made the choppy sound quieter, so its a tiny bit more usable, but the audio quality was totally destroyed)
- audio crack/chop not present in main menu with the music there
- only tested with snes and nes games (i dont know if other console emulators will have this problem)
- global.retroarch.audio_driver=tinyalsa (no sound is coming at all ... maybe cuz i use vga to scart rgb, scart also carries audio like hdmi does)
- did not test tinyalsa with separate from scart speakers ... will test and update on this
- ah, i also tried to connect my pc headphones to the tv via the headphones jack ... audio correctly transferred to my headphones, but still choppy
All help is appreciated, I really ... REALLY like the os and the setup I made ... its literally dream-like .. just wish we could fix the audio
Detailed reproduction steps
launch nes or snes game, and it happens
Details of any attempts to fix this yourself
No response
Details of any modifications you have made to Batocera.
crt script
Logs and data
i tried running pw-top for audio issues that may come in .... but no audio issues are detected ... sorry that i cant provide log
