Issue description
Mouse coontrols (e.g. trackball) do not work in MAME games even if Mouse Control is enabled in the settings.
This was first reported in v42 but the problem persists in v43. Rolling back to v41 restores the functionality.
Detailed reproduction steps
I upgraded Batocera from v41 to v43 via its internal upgrade procedure. Rebooted, and the mouse controls no longer works. Nothing else has changed.
Details of any attempts to fix this yourself
When I had the problem in v42 I found that someone else had already reported the problem #14579
Some people have some advice but nothing worked for me or was relevant to my system or the emulator I'm using (I'm using the standalone MAME that comes with Batocera). I do not know what else to try, there is no offical workaround or comment or fix.
Details of any modifications you have made to Batocera.
None.

The issue is present in the stable versions of v42 and v43, not in v41.
