The list of available ring-tones is specified in a file called <code class="literal">Ringlist.xml</code> which the phone downloads from the provisioning server. A maximum of <code class="literal">50</code> <<code class="tag">Ring</code>> entries can be defined.<br>

<h2 id="Using SoX">Using SoX</h2>
Ring-tones are raw PCM (no header), u-law encoded with 8-bits per sample, mono at 8000Hz between 240 and 16080 samples (2 seconds) in length. The example below shows how a <code class="literal">.wav</code> file can be converted to <code class="literal">.raw</code> using <code class="literal">sox</code>.<br>

<h2 id="Wideband Ring Tones">Wideband Ring Tones</h2>
The <b>7800</b> and <b>8800</b> series phones use wideband ring-tones. The list of available wideband ring-tones is specified in a file called <code class="literal">Ringlist-wb.xml</code> which is in the same format as <code class="literal">Ringlist.xml</code>. Wideband ring-tone filenames must end in <code class="literal">.rwb</code>.<br>
