Objective

Confirm the implementation meets the Goal 1 success criteria for scale and performance.

Scope

• Create a 5-train scenario where all trains complete their routes on a shared topology.
• Create a 20-train stress scenario on a topology large enough to avoid trivial contention.
• Measure the simulation real-time ratio on development hardware.
• Profile hotspots and document bottlenecks if the performance ratio falls below threshold.

Acceptance criteria

• The 5-train scenario completes all routes with no exceptions or occupancy errors.
• The 20-train scenario runs at real-time ratio >= 1x.
• No deadlocks or livelocks are observed in 10 consecutive 20-train runs.
• A performance bottleneck summary is documented if the real-time ratio falls short.
