Hi, really want to try out Beets. Newish Ubuntu user here and am having trouble getting off the ground.
Ubuntu 24.04
First tried installing using apt. That install worked but gave me version 1.6.0, which I learned doesn't support the MusicBrainz plugin so I removed it.
Installed pipx and tried a fresh install that way. The install says it worked but when I go to write the config file: beet config -e
I get this:
bash: /usr/bin/beet: No such file or directory
I don't know if this is a leftover from the apt install or how to get it working from here. Any advice appreciated.
My music is all on an external hard drive so I'll need to point it there eventually. I hope that won't matter for the isolated environment of the pipx install. Would really love to get this to work.
Thanks!
