We're going to trial the use of codepen.io to teach students. We need to give students instructions for using this tool. Instructions should include:
- Creating an account before coming to class
- We should provide advice on choosing a username i.e., nothing offensive
- Finding the teacher's collection on codepen
- Forking a pen from the teacher's collection
- Creating a template
- Creating a pen from a template
- Setting up the editor
- Hiding unhelpful parts of the UI i.e., HTML, CSS can be hidden. We only need the JS and output windows
Doing an instructional video with Screenflow or Camtasia would be ideal.
