Situation: The user-callback examples in the repo are GPL licensed. The notify-example is authored by Fabrizio M and licensed as GPL-3.0-or-later. The other scripts are from @Germar and GPL-2.0-or-later licensed.
Problem: No matter that the examples are valuable they IMHO don't have that much value to restrict them with GPL.
Solution: Re-license the files as CC0 (public domain). We need authors permissions to do that.
I established mail contact with Fabrizio and he accepted to re-license his file. He will do this by his own via an upcoming PR.
I was not able to establish contact with Germar since November 2024. I'll retry later.
