Summary

The current _wallets/jade.md entry lists the product as "Blockstream Jade". Blockstream has since introduced a new product, Jade Plus, and renamed the original device to Jade Classic. Both products are now presented as distinct devices on the official website, with their own specifications and dedicated pages.

The listing's fields (link, source, description) remain factually accurate for the device currently referred to as "Jade Classic", which is still available for purchase. However, the single "Blockstream Jade" listing no longer reflects the vendor's current product naming, and users reaching bitcoin.org may not be aware that two distinct Jade devices now exist.

This Issue is opened to bring visibility to the naming update so it can be addressed collaboratively, either by adjusting the current listing or by considering how to represent both products.

Sharing a few options for discussion, no preference from my side, deferring to maintainer and Blockstream team judgment:

1. Minimal update. Rename the title from "Blockstream Jade" to "Blockstream Jade Classic" to match the vendor's current naming convention. The rest of the listing remains unchanged, since all other fields still reflect the Jade Classic product.

2. Complete update (add Jade Plus as separate entry). In addition to renaming the existing listing, add a new listing for Jade Plus following the site's managing-wallets.md requirements. This would involve a new _wallets/jade-plus.md file, a description in _translations/en.yml, icon, screenshot, and confirmation that Jade Plus meets the Basic Requirements for hardware wallets.

3. Coordinated vendor update. The Blockstream Jade team could propose the updated entry (or new entries) directly, ensuring the listing reflects their current positioning and any preference between the two paths above.

Notes

• Opening this issue as part of the broader wallet section audit tracked in Wallet section audit: discontinued wallets, outdated descriptions, and missing Lightning wallets (April 2026) #4662.
• Not opening a PR yet; the product-split question (Path 2) benefits from vendor input to ensure any new Jade Plus entry reflects accurate feature, transparency, and classification declarations.
• The firmware repository Blockstream/Jade continues to serve both products (Jade Classic and Jade Plus share the same firmware base), so the source field remains accurate regardless of path chosen.
• This situation is directly analogous to the one documented in Update Passport listing: website URL outdated after Foundation Devices rebrand and product renaming #4673 (Passport → Passport Core + Passport Prime), where the same kind of vendor product split occurred.
