Tutorial: Launch & Deploy

1. Build a solar sail spacecraft as in: Tutorial: Building a solar sail spacecraft
2. Mount on a suitable launch vehicle, enclosing in a payload fairing if you like.

1. Launch into orbit.
2. Use the upper stage to burn to Kerbin escape. Planetary solar sailing is more difficult, and isn’t well supported by the plugin yet. Time warp until you are in orbit around the sun.
3. Complete all staging, getting rid of the upper rocket stage.
4. Right click on the sail and click the “Deploy” button. Click again to stow the sail.
5. The “Sail Controls” window will appear.
