Merge branch 5.next into 6.x

This merge brings all the latest documentation updates from 5.next while
preserving 6.x-specific features and content:

Merge Strategy:
- Accepted 5.next content as base (most up-to-date documentation)
- Preserved 6.x-specific configuration (version refs, deployment)
- Kept 6.x-only files: 6-0-migration-guide.md, 6-0-upgrade-guide.md
- Inherited 5.next improvements including filesystem docs

Changes from 5.next:
- All latest 5.x content merged into 5.next (via prior merge)
- Updated documentation with latest improvements
- Enhanced tooling and workflows
- Method signatures and documentation clarity

6.x-specific preserved:
- config.js: base path and hostname for 6.x
- workflows: 6.x deployment configuration
- 6.0 migration and upgrade guides
- Version-specific branch references
- Updated migration guides to reference both 5.x and 6.x guides
