How could the content be improved?
I believe the mention of AMY in the Getting Started on Instructor Certification episode is the first and only mention of AMY. In the couple of times I've taught training, AMY has been a point of confusion for learners, and a number have become very worried about whether or not they already have AMY access. If I recall correctly, some learners at my last training already had access while others did not.
I suggest we do one of the following to alleviate confusion:
- Re-word Step 3 in the Instructor Checkout list to replace AMY with some generic phrasing about a database they'll be added to after training.
- Briefly explain what AMY is and how it relates to the Instructor Training Profile Creation Form they're asked by email to fill out before training, either in this episode or in the Summary and Setup episode or the Information page.
