Understanding the custom logo options

I am trying to follow the instructions here: https://carpentries.github.io/sandpaper-docs/aio.html#adding-a-custom-logo

There aren't any additional folders in the repo here, e.g. matching: inst/pkgdown/assets/assets/images so is it at all possible to customize the logo?

Hi @ross-spencer - to customize a logo you need to fork the varnish repo into your own GitHub account. This is the rendering part of the Workbench, so any logos need to be added to your varnish repo and then your repo URL added to the config.yaml of your lesson as the callout states.

Thanks @froggleston. I'll keep working on the syllabus and might circle back to this to give it a whirl if there's value for the project when we move it from the draft repo. I appreciate the help!

In case anyone else is trying to exactly this, I've managed to make it work on my own site:

1. Fork the varnish repo
2. Make whatever changes you want/need to make
3. In the _config.yml of your lesson, add a new key varnish: and set it to your UserName/RepoName
   1. This was the only part I couldn't find documentation for.

Thanks @PaulHancock ! This is definitely something we need to improve in the docs - it is there (here, and here under the Custom Engines section), but it's not very findable!

We're slowly migrating the docs to https://github.com/carpentries/workbench-docs where we can make these improvements.
